CCJ numbers increase as smaller debts go to court

Recent figures published by the Registry Trust continue to show the trend that more and more people are facing legal action over unpaid debts. Whilst more people are being subjected to legal action and county court judgments the level of debt for which they are being pursed continues to drop. Figures for the second quarter of 2019 showed that the average value of a CCJ against a consumer is now only £1,445.00. This trends illustrates that more than ever people are now being held accountable for smaller debts.
